World Thinking Day is when many Girl Scout troops come together to celebrate different countries and cultures and learn about scouts/guides around the world in a gesture of international friendship. You get to try unique and delicious foods from different countries around the world while learning about the countries customs and way of life. For Thinking Day 2023, we represented Italy, and we dressed up as Italian gondoliers. Our Italian food were pizelles, a type of waffle cookie, which quickly sold out! All proceeds went to Gifts for Girls, a program to help girls in need participate in Girl Scouts. During Thinking Day we traded SWAPs with other troops, visited their booths and stamped our passports, and closed out the day with a friendship circle. Our troop also sang Row Row Row your boat in Italian!
